Blue Skies And Golden Light

It was probably just a few hours before that I said to the wife that I miss the golden orangy-yellow colours of the gorse bush in full bloom in the Scottish countryside when we went for a walk as the sun was starting to set when Utah did its best to replicate the golden hues with the light.

There might not be any rolling hills of green grass, there might not be any fields bordered with dry-stane walls, there might not be any flowering gorse bushes in the distance here suggesting that a Scottish summer is on the way, but even though none of that exists and this picture isn't all that interesting to look at the light at sunset on a night like this in Utah is pretty impressive.

Off topic. Ross County? Really?

Truth be told I gave up on this season back in August when Celtic lost to Arsenal without any fight. Thats when I could see the signs. I good Celtic side might not always win their European games but they at least compete.

I thought maybe things would improve in the January transfer window but then when I saw that the left back that was bought in the first transfer window was sold for a 'small' profit by the same manager who bought him I knew the writing was on the wall that he was going to get sacked. He was telling the world then that he didn't have a clue what he was doing. I was hoping that having Robbie Keane (albeit on loan) in the team would at least calvanise the squad until the end of the season but instead it seemed to allow some players to retreat into their shells. I feel sorry for the caretaker manager and the young players that have been thrown into the side when they clearly don't have any support around them.

I'm just glad that I enjoy basketball because that allowed me to enjoy the Utah Jazz and pretty much forget about Celtic until next season.
